Online Professional CPD training with Carly Budd for qualified Baby Massage and Baby Yoga Teachers seeking to deepen their knowledge and provide Baby Massage and Baby Yoga for babies with sensory and neurodevelopmental needs, acute and long term conditions and disabilities.
LIVE Two-Part Online Training
This specialist CPD training will broaden the knowledge and practice of qualified Baby Massage and Baby Yoga teachers when supporting babies with additional needs.
Research shows that parents with a baby with additional needs may be at higher risk of mental health difficulties such as anxiety and depression, yet baby massage and baby yoga are powerful ways in which to support parental mental health, support parent-infant bonding whist also supporting infant mental health.
This training is for you if you feel called to work more closely with babies who have SEND needs, and you wish to broaden your understanding of working with these babies and their families.
The training covers and focuses on adapting baby massage and baby yoga for babies the following conditions:
Torticollis and Plagiocephaly
Congenital Talipes (Clubfoot) and the Ponsetti Method
Hip Dysplasia (DDH) and Pavlik
The prem baby and the highly sensitive baby
Cardiac and circulatory conditions
Upskill your practice, deepen your knowledge and learn how to adapt and provide Baby Massage and Baby Yoga for babies with sensory and neurodevelopmental needs, acute and long term conditions and disabilities.
What will you learn?
Professionalism and ethical aspects to consider when working with babies with acute conditions and SEND
including Consideration of the emotional impact on parents
The power of touch for all babies in promoting health and supporting infant-parent interaction as well as key considerations and preparation for your classes when welcoming babies with acute medical needs and/or neurodisabilities
Deepen your knowledge and practical skills of some of the musculoskeletal, neurological and medical conditions that may require extra consideration and at times adaptation.
This is an Online Workshop delivered via Google Meet in two parts on the following dates:
Saturday 26th April 9:30am - 1pm
Sunday 27th April 9:30am - 1pm
Once purchased you will receive the details to join live on the dates above. This is a great oppurtunity to learn and interact with Carly in community with other likeminded instructors.
After completion, all those enrolled will receive the recording plus full PDF handout, therefore if you are not able to attend live you can still access this training.
You will be required to complete a written assessment and reflection piece in order to receive your certificate.
Students will also be eligible to join the Carly Budd student forum for ongoing support and networking.
Requirements and Investment
Students must have their own professional indemnity and public liability insurances in place, as well as a Baby Massage and/or Baby Yoga qualification. Investment for this LIVE and Interactive Two-Part training is £299 with no ongoing fees.There are options to pay in instalments via Klarna and Clearpay (subject to their T's and C's).
All those who enrol will receive the recording and PDF handout to keep and refer back to without time limit. They will also have the opportunity to join the Carly Budd Developmental Play Academy student forum for ongoing support and connection.
