Delivering Play the Nature Way® sessions
This course not only supports you in the why for play in nature, it also provides you with a module on how to deliver your sessions as a Play the Nature Way® Practitioner. It includes your very own manual with access to over 75 Paediatric Occupational Therapist approved Play the Nature Way® activities, PLUS a variety of additional activity ideas in THIRTY teaching plans.

Ensuring Safe and Happy Play the Nature Way®
A module on how to ensure the safety of your families, such as risk assessment, insurances, first aid as well as respect for nature when delivering Play the Nature Way® is included to support you in safely delivering Play the Nature Way®, both outdoors and indoors.

As well as Carly’s online video lectures there are two recorded Expert Guests lectures too! Rebecca Jepson fellow Paediatric Occupational Therapist with a specialism in Ecosensory Therapy, as well as Louise Marie, Founder of SHE's Medicine, Women’s Circle Facilitator Training, and Forest School Leader.
When you invest in this training, you will have the option to join the Carly Budd Developmental Play Academy Student Forum (via Facebook) for ongoing support and networking with other students and Practitioners of the Academy.
How to Study
This course is completed online, in your own time, with no time limit to complete.
You will study 4 modules, and submit 3 short written assessments. You will be required to create and submit your own teaching plan (including considerations of risk) to Carly for assessment. There is a small practical assessment consisting of a 5-10 minute video recording of the student presenting at least one of these activities and their developmental benefits (either in a real life session or as a mock session).
On completion you will receive a certificate of study in Play the Nature Way®:Nature Play Practitioner, and will be able to deliver your own Nature Play sessions for parents and children age 1-5. You will need to obtain your own insurance to work with children outside, including public liability and professional indemnity insurance.

Carly Budd Developmental Play Academy is not a franchise, rather an online training academy offering high quality courses created and delivered by a highly specialised and registered health professional. You have freedom and creativity to deliver your classes and sessions without the costs or constraints of a franchise, but with the benefits of offering OT approved services, ongoing support from a global community of practitioners as well as Carly herself. There are also opportunities for ongoing CPD when you join this supportive global community.
