Both Tummy Time Practitioner Training and the Advanced Practitioner in Developmental Play 0-3 years Training suits a wide range of professionals including those working with families and young children in Perinatal and Postnatal support, Health and Social Care , Early Years, Education and Parent and Baby Wellbeing Sectors. This is a complete 0-3 training and qualification that can also be used to create independent business without the costs of a franchise, or to infuse into your existing services, programmes and practices. It is also ideal for newly qualified OTs, PTs, SLTS and AHPs, those new to paediatrics / perinatal services, new to supporting preschool children, those wishing to move into independent practice, or creating health promotion and child development services in their communities.

I get asked this a lot and I completely understand the curiosity. The 0–1 stage is so important, especially when you’re working with babies. But the answer is: no, the Developmental Play Diplomas (0–1 and 1–3 Years) are only available as part of the full Advanced Practitioner in Developmental Play 0–3 Years training bundle.

You can enrol in the Tummy Time Practitioner training as a standalone course, but not the Diplomas. This is a deliberate and considered choice.

Originally, these Diplomas were offered as individual CPD. But when I renewed accreditation, I chose to raise the standard. I integrated them into one full, accredited package that truly reflects the depth of knowledge, connection, and real-world practice needed to be an Advanced Practitioner across the early years. It’s about giving you the full picture and not just one part of it.

These early years are deeply interconnected. So much of what we see at 1–3 years starts in the baby months. Learning the 0–3 pathway as a whole makes your practice more responsive, more informed, and far more empowering for the families you support. It also enables you to better understand the developmental journey of babies and toddlers who may have additional needs or complex developmental profiles. Many past practitioners tell me that completing the full bundle gave them a new level of confidence especially when working with children who are in-between stages or presenting with a mix of needs.

Yes, definitely. In fact, this is the training I wish I had when I first qualified. It brings together all my experience in paediatrics and focuses on those early stages of development that form the foundation for everything else.

By focusing on the key performance components necessary for lifelong function, this program supports the development of robust physical and functional health, and infant mental wellbeing and attachment. Not only do you receive the theoretical basis, this training provides a robust, evidence based library of 100s of play ideas that support progressive development through the ages of 0-3.

Yes, both the Infant Developmental Play Diploma, with the Tummy Time Practitioner course, and the Toddler Developmental Play Diploma are accredited with Think Tree Association to Level 3 Advanced Diploma level.

Both Advanced Diplomas are worth 15 CPD points individually. By completing both Diplomas, students will gain 30 CPD points.
